I see what you’re saying but I think I have to partially disagree with you.
Surely, it's great from an economic point of view. As you said, not having to bother about your monthly rent is a big relief.
When I look at the "living together" issue, I think that it depends a lot on how you share the space with your family: even though parents' love is unrivalled and it's great to enjoy it, having parents who are overly intrusive or who do not allow you to fully live your life is a significant obstacle that pushes you to look for your spaces elsewhere. That's why, sometimes, it's not ok to live with your parents.
However, I'm glad that you can live so well with your folks!
